By careful selection and measurement of print components (ink and paper) and by aligning ourselves with industry best practice for colour reproduction (ISO 12647-2 standard) we are able to offer our clients effective colour measurement and management.


Whether printing on coated or uncoated papers, selecting or printing onto fabrics or even trying to match the paint on the outside of your building, our colour management approach will give you the insight and tools to gain consistency and reduce subjectivity.

ISO 12647-2
ISO 12647-2 specifies a number of process parameters and their values to be applied when preparing colour separations for four-colour offset printing or when producing four-colour prints by one of the following methods:
heat-set web, sheet-fed or continuous forms process printing, or proofing for one of these processes; or offset proofing for half-tone gravure.

It provides measurement criteria that allow the output from one printing press to be compared, using spectrophotometry, against that of another and in turn against an agreed 'standard'. 

FT is working with suppliers that already print to the ISO 12647-2 colour standard.
